Switch to iD Mobile

Switching is as easy as 1–2–3!

Let's get started.

Get a PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) to keep your number, or a STAC (Service Termination Authorisation Code) to ditch your old number and start afresh with iD Mobile.

How do I switch my number?

  1. Request a PAC.

Using your SIM from your old network provider, text PAC to 65075. This PAC will last for 30 days.

  2. Choose how to switch.

You've got two easy ways to switch your number to iD Mobile:

    • During checkout – Give us your PAC when you choose your new plan or phone.
    • In the iD Mobile app or my.idmobile.co.uk – Log in and select “Switch to iD” on your Plan screen.
  3. Share your PAC.

Follow the option that works best for you to give us your PAC and the number you want to keep.

  4. Pick a date.

Choose your switch date using the calendar and sit back – we'll handle the rest. Switching is available Monday to Friday, 10am to 10pm, excluding Bank Holidays. The calendar will automatically show you the next available date.

Please note: Switching isn’t available on Good Friday (3rd April 2026), Easter Monday (6th April 2026), and Early May Bank Holiday (4th May 2026).

What happens next?

  1. Once you submit your PAC, we will start the switching process.

  2. Your existing network provider will notified of the request.

  3. Your switch will happen on the date you selected by 10pm.

  4. Your contract with your previous network provider will get terminated.

Unsure when your switching date is?

Once you've submitted your PAC, we'll text your temporary iD number to let you know it's in motion and confirm your switch date. On the morning of your switch, you'll get an email and another SMS. If you gave us your PAC at checkout, it'll also be in your ‘Order Complete’ or ‘Welcome to iD’ email - easy!

My switch is late. What should I do?

Don't worry – there's no need to contact us! Our systems will automatically spot the delay, reschedule your switch, and compensate you for the inconvenience.
