No, the Honor Magic V5 is not waterproof. It has a IP58 and IP59 rating, keeping the phone splash-proof, dust-proof and water resistant, which is particularly impressive for a folding smartphone.

The Honor Magic V5 has seen some fairly impactful upgrades from the previous Honor Magic V3 model. The processor has been upgraded to the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, making day-to-day performance faster and more efficient. Water and dust resistance has also been bumped up to IP58 & IP59 from the Magic V3’s IPX8. Last but certainly not least, the battery has increased from 5,150mAh to a huge 5,820mAh, despite the Magic V5 being nearly 10g lighter than the Magic V3.
