Design

Hold the X9 Find Pro in your hand, and the first thing you’ll notice is its smooth, rounded design. It’s not the lightest smartphone on the market, but it feels ergonomic and well-balanced – and housed in aerospace-grade aluminium that takes smudges in its stride, it’s polished and premium too.

There’s two equally polished colourways on offer: Silk White and Titanium Charcoal. The slightly brown tone of the Titanium Charcoal finish makes a refreshing change from the traditional black finish, and that smudge-resistant coating makes sure it keeps its sleekness even after a full day of use. If you’re out and about in rough weather, you’ll find the IP69 water and dust-resistant rating does a good job of keeping the rain off, and there’s an inbuilt screen protector that helps protect from scuffs and scrapes.

Display

Make no mistake: at 6.78-inches, this is a certified big-screen phone. The Find X9 Pro's super-thin bezel and rounded corners make the screen feel bigger still, without the stretching needed for some of the largest handsets on the market. It's a nice middle ground between a screen that lets you take in every detail, without being too cumbersome to slip in your pocket.

The Find X9 Pro's display is particularly impressive for photo and video playback, offering realistic colours and shadows in beautifully produced detail. If you're scrolling at night, you'll also find the minimum brightness useful, with low light that doesn't feel too strenuous on your eyes.

Performance

When it comes to performance, the OPPO Find X9 Pro is a real powerhouse. Thanks to the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor – one of the most impressive phone processors on the market - you can expect intuitive scrolling and instant responses, even when you’re running more hardcore apps.

OPPO have also improved this handset's thermal management since the release of the Find X8 Pro, with heat distributed evenly across the device's housing. In theory, this means that your phone is less likely to overheat. It’s worth noting that if you’re juggling multiple features – say video-calling while booking flights or pausing to reply to messages while you’re gaming – you might notice your handset feeling a little hot in the hand. It’s not enough to distract from daily use though, and it feels like a fair playoff for the amount of tools jampacked into your phone.

Software and AI

The Find X9 Pro's interface is clean and adaptive, making for a fluid experience that reminded us of the likes of flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. If you're coming to OPPO from a Samsung device, you'll recognise those Android features, baked into OPPO's custom ColorOS 16 operating system. It's the perfect blend of the reliability and responsiveness of Android 16, paired with added layers of personalisation.

For longtime Apple users like us, the OPPO capability to share with Apple’s ecosystem is a real bonus – and not a feature that’s often found in the Android world. Tools like Touch to Share and Screen Mirroring make sending files and photos from your handset to your laptop simple, with just the touch of a button.

AI features are thoughtfully integrated into the interface, with an intuitive menu making tools like AI Search, AI Recording and AI Writer easy to find and use. There's no need to go searching for a tool that’s hidden away; everything you need is in plain sight. In our book, a special mention should go to AI Mindspace, which lets you save a piece of content, and automatically file it into a searchable collection. It can even display relevant information or add key event dates to your calendar for reference – a gamechanger for notes and appointments you need to remember on the go. It's one of the most intuitive uses of AI we’ve seen so far in the smartphone world, and we're excited to see what OPPO does next.

Battery

All those excellent features are backed by the enormous battery life on offer. The 7,500mAh battery is OPPO’s largest flagship battery ever – and it’s impressive to say the least. A significant upgrade from the Find X8 Pro’s already remarkable 5,910mAh, the Find X9 Pro's battery life is designed to last, and last and last.

With such superior battery life, it's unlikely that you'll have to go searching for your charger during a busy workday, but even if you do, the Find X9 Pro takes just over an hour to reach 100% from near-empty. That’s not all - this phone also comes with 50W AirVOOC wireless charging capabilities, so you’re covered on all bases. For a phone that boasts so many cutting-edge features, the battery stands out as one of the biggest and best battery lifespans we’ve seen so far.

Security

OPPO have upped the security stakes with this phone, with a range of features designed to give you greater control over your data. Advanced Facial Recognition features keep your handset secure from the outside in, with an in-display ultrasound fingerprint sensor for extra protection.

There's plenty of privacy shortcuts you can implement on your own terms, too. Integrated ColorOS privacy tools like Private Safe keep documents, files and photos in an encrypted vault, while App Lock gives you extra control over any apps you want to keep under closer wraps. If that wasn't enough, you can also lock your device at chip-level if it's ever lost or stolen for added peace of mind.

Cameras

One of our standout features – and perhaps one of the more surprising given OPPO’s traditional selling points – is this handset’s stunning camera system. Amateurs and professionals alike will find a lot to love in the sharp 50MP main camera, excellent zoom capabilities and tidy app interface.

OPPO's continued collaboration with Hasselblad gives the Find X9 Pro's photographic range added depth in terms of authenticity and range of colours. The 200MP telephoto lens makes for flawless zoom and superior image quality, so you can capture landscapes, faces and places with almost no effort.

The front-facing camera is as much fun to play with as the main lens. With a 50MP selfie lens, (a nice step up from the Find X8 Pro’s 32MP), it’s easy to capture picture-perfect self-portraits on that big, beautiful screen.

The actual snapping is satisfying, too. Reminiscent of Apple’s Camera Control button, OPPO have included a Master Shutter button on the side of the phone, which lets you line up your shot with a single point-and-shoot motion. Whether you want to capture dramatic panoramic landscapes, complex cityscapes, or snaps of you and your friends having fun, the Oppo Find X9 Pro will not let you down.
