If you received an SMS indicating that you're traveling in a different country, it likely means that your phone has connected to a foreign network; this is also known as inadvertent roaming.

Inadvertent roaming occurs when your phone unexpectedly connects to another network for example: when you're on a ferry, cruise ship, or near the border of another country while abroad.

If the connected country isn't included in our 50 free Roaming destinations, you will incur roaming charges for that destination. To avoid extra charges, we suggest setting a bill cap, which you can adjust at any time. We also recommend turning off automatic network selection in your phone settings.

Yes, you can opt out of our roaming SMS notifications. Just a heads-up—you’ll still get important service messages to keep you in the loop. To opt out, simply contact our live chat team. If you ever want to opt back in, just let us know, and we’ll take care of it for you!
