VodafoneThree is the new company formed from the merger of Three UK, the network partner of iD Mobile, and Vodafone UK.
The companies merged to build a better mobile network. With a planned £11 billion investment, the aim is to improve coverage, speed and reliability across the UK.
No. Three, Vodafone and partner networks, including iD Mobile, will continue to operate as usual for the foreseeable future.
From mid-2025 in upgraded areas, your phone will be able to connect to both the Three and Vodafone networks. It will automatically switch to the stronger signal. This gives you better coverage and faster speeds at no extra cost. Your phone will still show iD Mobile.
Initial network upgrades have delivered an average 4G speed increase of around 20% in some areas. Actual results vary by location and phone.
Upgrades are rolling out now. Around 600 sites have already been upgraded, with 9,000 more planned by June 2026. Many customers will notice improvements during 2025 and 2026.
Yes. Extra capacity and the ability to move customers to less busy sites should keep performance steadier at peak times. Using both networks also helps fill coverage gaps, improving indoor and outdoor coverage.
No. Your plan, price and terms are not changing because of the merger. Standard annual price changes, such as CPI adjustments or fixed-price increases on some plans, still apply.
No. Everything will work as it does today. Your phone will continue to display iD Mobile. The switch between networks happens in the background.

Multi-Operator Core Network (MOCN) is a technology that lets your phone use both networks in the background. Your phone automatically connects to the best available signal. You do not need to do anything.

Never share one-time passcodes or personal information with anyone who contacts you unexpectedly.
