What is an iD pay monthly SIM only plan?
Our pay monthly SIM only plans work in almost the same way as our plans with phones. The only difference is that you don't get a phone as part of the deal. You simply get a new SIM card with a monthly allowance of minutes, texts and data.
What are the benefits of SIM only?
SIM only plans are perfect if you've already got a phone you're happy with. And they're great if you want to cut down on your mobile spend, because going SIM only usually works out cheaper than buying a plan with a phone.
If you've got your eye on a new phone that hasn't been released yet, going for a 30-day iD SIM only plan could make perfect sense. You can keep it rolling month-by-month, and end it as soon as your new smartphone becomes available.
What if I run out of minutes, texts or data?
If you run out of an allowance, you can still keep using it (for example, if you run out of texts you can keep sending text messages), but you'll be charged at out-of-bundle rates.
To prevent you from racking up these out-of-bundle charges, it's easy to purchase an add-on of minutes, texts or data (depending on which allowance you've run out of).
Please note: add-ons can't be backdated to cover your past usage. They come into effect when they're purchased, and never before.

What size of SIM card do I need?
Your iD SIM card is 'one size fits all', so you don't have to worry about ordering the correct size. The card you receive contains all three SIM types (standard, micro and nano), and you just need to snap it into the size you need.

How long does the contract last?
At iD Mobile, we offer 30-day rolling contracts. If you wish to end your contract with us, we simply need a month's notice. The same goes for editing your contract - if you fancy more minutes or need more data just get in touch!
Will there be a credit check on a SIM Only deal?
For Pay Monthly SIM Only plans, we will run a credit check. We'll always ask your permission before this happens, and we'll inform you about our decision as soon as possible.
Due to shorter contract lengths and the absence of a handset, SIM Only applications are more likely to be accepted than Pay Monthly deals. However, if your application has been declined please don't hesitate to get in touch with our team. We'll try our best to find a solution that works for you.
The charges you pay will adjust (up or down) in line with changes to the Retail Price Index Rate (RPI Rate) set by the Office of National Statistics. We will adjust charges with effect in your April bill after the RPI Rate is announced for the previous 12 months to February. We will publish the RPI Rate on our website as soon as it becomes available.
