There are three quick and easy ways to buy an iD Pay-as-you-go SIM: online, over the phone or in-store:
1. Buy a Pay-as-you-go SIM online from the iD website here. You can choose to add top-up credit, buy a bundle, or even both.
2. Buy a Pay-as-you-go SIM over the phone. Give us a call on 0800 049 0250 (charges from landlines and other mobile networks may vary), and we'll be happy to answer your questions and help you choose the most suitable Pay-as-you-go option.
3. Pop into any Carphone Warehouse store in the UK. One of our helpful advisors will help you choose the best bundle or amount of top-up credit to go with your Pay-as-you-go SIM.
How long will my SIM card take to arrive?
Your SIM card will be sent via First Class post and will take 2-3 working days to be delivered.
My phone is currently locked to another network, but I'd like to use it with an iD Pay-as-you-go SIM. What should I do?
You'll need to contact your network provider and ask them to unlock your phone. When this is done, you'll be able to use an iD Pay-as-you go SIM with it.
Please note that your network might charge you a fee for unlocking your phone. You can ask for details when you call them.

What are value bundles?
Value bundles allow you to combine our standard bundles with top-up credit We've created options to suit all budgets, so we're sure there'll be something for you.
How long do bundles last?
Bundles last one calendar month from the date of purchase. Think of them as monthly bundles, with a few days added to cover delivery timescales. If you purchase your first bundle online with your Pay-as-you-go SIM, this will last 35 days to give you some extra time to use it once it arrives in the post. Any bundles then purchased afterwards will only last one calendar month.
Can I choose to make my bundle recurring?
Yes, you can set up recurring bundles that refresh every month. You can do this via the iD Mobile app or My Account online.
Is it better to top-up my credit or buy a bundle?
It all depends. Both have their advantages.
With a bundle, you know the exact amount of minutes, texts and data
you're getting. So if you generally use your phone in the same way
from month to month, it could be the right choice for you.
Topping up your credit gives you a bit more flexibility, as it can be
used for lots of different things. You can use it to makes calls, send
texts and use data, as well as roaming when you're abroad, and using
premium features. You can also purchase bundles with it.
If I run out of an allowance, can I still use my phone?
Yes. If you run out of a particular allowance, you can still use your other remaining allowances.
For example, if you run out of data, you can still make calls and send texts.
If you want to use the allowance you've run out of, you'll need to top up your credit. You'll then be charged at our out-of-bundle rates, but don't worry as these rates are among the lowest in the UK:
Calls to other UK mobiles,landline numbers, voicemail: £0.03 per minute.
Picture, video messages: £0.05
Text messages: £0.02
Internet usage per MB: £0.01
4G for free.
4G is the next step up from 3G, giving you mobile internet speeds up to five times faster than before. In fact, even the average home broadband speed can't match 4G. That means you can stream movies in HD without buffering, play online games in real time and upload photos to Facebook instantly.
The 4G network we use already covers huge parts of the country and by the end of the year we're aiming to cover 98% of the population, so you'll be able to experience faster internet almost anywhere.
If you do find yourself somewhere that we haven't brought 4G to yet, don't worry, you'll still have access to our Advanced 3G service, the fastest 3G connection in the UK.
Our network uses the fastest version of 3G ever. Known as Advanced 3G, it gives impressive speeds that'll let you download your favourite movies in a matter of minutes, and make smooth, HD video calls over Skype or Facetime.
The great thing about Advanced 3G is that it already covers 98% of the population. So wherever you go with your iD plan, you'll get fast and reliable internet.

We've just added Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Finland, Lithuania, Slovakia and Slovenia.
This is in addition to the existing list of countries:
Australia, Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Spain, Sweden and USA.
So when you're in any one of these countries, you'll be able to use your data, and make calls or send texts to UK mobile numbers and landlines.
Calls to foreign numbers (even when you're in the same country) aren't included.

These will be available to buy through the iD App and My Account. You'll be able to use them to call and text UK numbers, or surf the web. Just add what you need as you need it.
